These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Crosby mobile application (the "App"), provided by Kernel Foundry ("we," "us," "Kernel Foundry"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Crosby, and old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. Crosby is not directed to children under 13 (see our Privacy Policy, §8). By using the App you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.
Crosby is a personal-finance information tool. It connects to your financial accounts (through Plaid) to aggregate balances, transactions, net worth, budgets, goals, and related insights so you can understand your own finances. Crosby does not move money, execute trades, or initiate transfers on your behalf.
Crosby relies on third-party providers — including Plaid (financial-account connectivity), your financial institutions, Google Firebase/Google Cloud, Apple, and Anthropic. Your use of those connections may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies, including Plaid's End User Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, accuracy, or availability of third-party services or the data they provide.
Crosby offers optional AI-assisted insights that you must opt into. AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date and is provided for informational purposes only — it is not financial advice. You are responsible for evaluating any AI-generated content before relying on it. See our Privacy Policy (§4) for how AI data is handled.

The App, including its software, design, branding, and content (excluding your data), is owned by Kernel Foundry and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes. "Crosby" and the Crosby logo are trademarks of Kernel Foundry.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any financial data displayed is complete or accurate. You rely on the App at your own risk.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KERNEL FOUNDRY AND ITS PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR FINANCIAL LOSS, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PRIOR TWELVE MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kernel Foundry from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the App or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time from within the App. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the App and its users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including §§7–10) will survive.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the App. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of [jurisdiction to be confirmed], without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in that jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
